Birubi Limousin stud was established in 1992 on the undulating slopes of Tongarra Valley on the NSW South Coast.
After moving to Crookwell the Stud has continued to grow, combining Limousin and Angus Studs with a commercial enterprise of Limousin X Angus. The home property is now at Borambola (near Wagga Wagga NSW) where Birubi will held their first on property sale on 29th August 2006.

Birubi aims to breed functional cattle, be they be polled, black, red or French Pure.

Birubi use both imported and Australian sires;

Birubi Black In Black B04 (Black & Polled): was purchased at the Kensal Dispersal for $15,000. Birubi is in half shares with Agri-Gene. Although Back in Black has already had a successful show career, we will exhibit him at Canberra, Dubbo & Sydney 08.

Hunt Mr Jock 44J (Black & Polled): Birubi purchased semen from the USA in partnership with Mandayen Limousins from SA. Mr Jock is a proven leading performance sire in the US with EPD's in the top 1% of the breed for Docility, Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Calving Ease (M) & Marbling.

Stevens Top Gun (Apricot & Homozygous Polled): was purchased at the Stevens sale in 2005. He is an Apricot & Polled Wulfs Rambler son. He is producing a good line of quality progeny. The main sire represented in our 2008 National Sale Team.

Kensal Vegemite Kid (Homozygous Black & Homozygous Polled): He has been used extensively in our stud and commercial herd since his purchase in 2002. He has been very successful at Birubi in breeding both males & females. He sired the Grand Champion Bull, Pair of Bulls & Sires Progeny Group at Sydney Royal in 2005. He is still in use but we will be showing a son - Birubi Lord Vegemite A159 (out of an S35 female) in 2008 that will become a herd sire for Birubi.

EXLR Power Up 009J (Black & Homozygous Polled): whom we selected whilst at the Denver Stock Show in 2000. Power Up is black & homozygous polled and has proven his ability to produce champions. His first progeny were shown in 2003, securing Junior Champion Heifer at Sydney Royal Show and Reserve Senior Bull at the 2003’s National Show and Sale.

Calderwood No Tremor: is the sire of a number of our good, reliable dams.

Premier Birubi S35 has been used heavily. He sired the Junior Champion Heifer at Sydney Royal 2001 as well as Supreme Exhibit and top priced bull at the National Show and Sale 2002. He has provided Birubi with many functional, good uddered cows. He has won the Sires Progeny group at both Sydney and Melbourne Royal Shows.
